John McAuliff Announces Key Endorsements from Senators Russet Perry and Kannan Srinivasan

Fauquier County, VA – Today, John McAuliff, candidate for HD-30, announced the endorsement of state Senators Russet Perry (D-31) and Kannan Srinivasan (D-32). Sen. Perry represents parts of Loudoun and Fauquier Counties, and Sen. Srinivasan represents parts of Loudoun County that overlap with HD-30.

“I am proud to have the endorsement of both Sen. Perry and Sen. Srinivasan,” said candidate John McAuliff. “Both Sens. Perry and Srinivasan are strong and decisive leaders for our communities, and understand what it takes to represent us in Richmond. I look forward to joining them in Richmond next year, and giving my community the independent voice we deserve.”

"HD-30 falls almost entirely within my district, so I get to go to work every day for most of the folks who call HD-30 home," said Sen. Russet Perry. "They deserve an independent-minded, thoughtful Delegate who understands that what makes Western Loudoun and Northern Fauquier unique is worth protecting. I am confident that John will be that legislator, and that he will be a strong partner in Richmond fighting alongside me for the best interests of our constituents and our region."

“I’ve known and worked with John for years—he’s a hard worker, a strong leader, and I know he will deliver for Loudoun families in Richmond,” said Sen. Kannan Srinivasan. “John understands the issues that matter to Loudoun and this district. I’m proud to endorse his candidacy.”

Additionally, on Thursday, McAuliff filed for ballot access in Fauquier County, turning in signatures from both Republicans and Democrats in HD-30.
“I’ve spent the last few weeks knocking doors, and having conversations with folks – they didn’t care if I was a Democrat or a Republican, they wanted to have a conversation about my values and the issues that matter to them,” said John McAuliff. “It’s clear that the people of HD-30 are ready for a change, and want real leadership in Richmond.”

Perry and Srinivasan join a growing list of local leaders endorsing McAuliff, including Del. David Reid - HD 28, Del. Marty Martinez - HD 29, Ret. State Senator John Bell, Fmr. Delegate Wendy Gooditis - HD 10, Fmr. Nominee Rob Banse - HD 30, and Fmr. Nominee Travis Nembhard - HD 22
